Wherever possible, moving dates should be postponed, although moving into empty new-build properties can go ahead provided the Government guidance on removals is followed.

Many developers have now closed their site sales offices and building sites to protect both consumers and staff. However, in many cases, sales enquiries are still taking place over the phone and developers and agents are keen to support home buyers where they can.

Please visit individual developer or site websites for specific advice and contact details.

For those in Scotland, the advice differs as all construction has shut (with the exception of hospitals). Guidance for people buying or selling private residential homes in Scotland during the COVID-19 outbreak can be read in full here: https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance-moving-home/
