The post COVID Stamp Duty holiday and fast pace of the current housing market have reportedly sparked an increase in gazumping, where a buyer typically loses out to a later, better offer, often well into the purchase process. The Consumer Code for Home Builders offers some protection against gazumping and other purchase pitfalls for buyers of new build homes.
